Hi, I’m Ron Jack.

My journey with woodturning actually began decades ago in a high school shop class. For just one semester, I got to experience the magic of shaping raw wood on a lathe. Even though life, career, and time took me in other directions, that spark of creative energy never really left me.

When retirement finally arrived, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: get back to “the wheel”. I started out on a dependable “General” lathe, reconnecting with the tactile, unpredictable joy of the craft. As my passion grew, so did my vision for what I wanted to create.

Recently, I upgraded to a professional “Oneway” lathe setup. This powerful machine, paired with high-precision accessories, allows me to take on much larger, more ambitious projects while achieving a level of accuracy and finish that matches the beauty of the wood itself.

Today, my workshop is a place of continuous learning, heavy shavings, and immense creative freedom. Every piece I turn is a celebration of natural grain, dedicated craftsmanship, and a high school hobby that came full circle.
